William Chong, CFA, FRM

William Chong is a vice president and portfolio manager for Franklin Templeton Fixed Income - Multi-Sector in San Mateo, California, United States. Mr. Chong is responsible for performing portfolio construction and implementation for multi-sector fixed income strategies. He also conducts quantitative research within credit, rates, and fx, with emphasis on relative value and derivative products.

Mr. Chong joined Franklin Templeton in 2008 as a quantitative research analyst. Previously, Mr. Chong was a senior treasury analyst at Toyota Financial Services. Prior to that, he worked in systems development with Merrill Lynch Fixed Income.

Mr. Chong holds a bachelor of science in economics and information systems from New York University, Stern School of Business, and a MBA from University of Southern California, Marshall School of Business. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder and a Financial Risk Manager (FRM).
